Trust & Safety at Carryn
Carryn is a community of senders and travelers, not anonymous riders. This page explains the controls we have in place today and what we ask from every member.
Identity verification
Every member who wants to carry a parcel completes a three-step check: email confirmation, selfie liveness, and a government-issued ID reviewed by our team. Verification status is visible on every match.
In-app chat with automated moderation
Senders and travelers coordinate inside Carryn. Messages are scanned automatically for phone numbers, UPI IDs, and "pay outside the app" patterns — these are common scam signals. Flagged conversations are surfaced to our admin team for review.
Privacy by default
Your chats are private. Carryn admins can only read a conversation if either party reports it, or our automated moderation flags it. Every admin access is recorded in our audit log.
Report & block
Every chat has a "Report" button. Tell us what went wrong — harassment, off-platform payment requests, suspicious behaviour — and our team will review within 24 hours, faster for safety issues.
Data security
Verification documents are stored in a private bucket — only the owner and our admin team can access them. Personal contact details are never shown to other members. We use Lovable Cloud with row-level security on every table.
What we ask from you
- Never pay or accept payment outside Carryn — we can't help if something goes wrong off-platform.
- Don't carry parcels you haven't inspected. If the sender refuses to show the contents, decline.
- Don't carry restricted items: cash, gold, liquids, batteries, illegal goods, anything you wouldn't take through airport security.
- Meet in public, well-lit places for pickup and handover.
- Mark the delivery as completed only when the parcel actually reaches the receiver.
